Tam Mak Hoong and Som Moo
Tam Mak Hoong (ຕຳຫມາກຫຸ່ງ Lao Green Papaya Salad) and Som Moo (ສົ້ມຫມູ Soured Pork) for lunch in Luang Prabang, Laos. I did not made my lunch but rather bought both dishes from a papaya salad stall somewhere near the Mekong River.
Larb Beef for dinner
Larb Sien or Larb Beef (Minced Beef Salad) for dinner. This is the raw version with mixed salad vegetables on the side.
Spicy Shrimp Salad
Spicy Shrimp Salad ( ລາບກຸ້ງ; Larb Koong, Larb Shrimp, or Laap Koong, Laap Koong) for dinner. This version, the shrimp is fully cooked rather than the raw (dancing shrimp) version that many people in Laos are fond of eating.
Khao Lod Chong
Pandan Noodles with Coconut Milk (Nam Varn Khao Lod Chong ນ້ຳຫວານເຂົ້າລອດຈອງ, ນ້ຳຫວານເຂົ້າລອດຊ່ອງ) for dessert in Vientiane, Laos. My Aunt didn’t make this dessert but bought a few bags of Nam Varn from her favorite dessert stall at Khua Din Market (Talat Khua Din).

Red Tulips for my Mama
My Mama’s favorite flower is no other than Dutch Tulip. Her favorite color is red. When I see red tulip, I like to take a picture of the flower. When I have enough photos, I then make a photo CD and send it to her.
