The book box library at Akat Elementary School in Vientiane is being used by the students during their break time. The students are also allowed to check out their favorite books and take them home to read and bring them back in a few days.
The school administrators created an extra room with a lock on the door to keep the book box in tact for many years to come. Many Thanks to the supporters of the Lao Reading Promotion Project for providing the first library for Akat Elementary School.
Thanks for the update on this; it’s good to know that they are adopting the library system similar to the ones in the US. Maybe when we visit them in the near future, we can bring more books to add to their library.
