After visiting Akat Elementary School in Vientiane and having witness the students using our Lao Book Box Library in their small reading room, I thought of giving to the school in my own way.
So, for Valentine’s Day, I decided to give Akat Elementary School a small gift, to have a ceiling fan installed in a Reading Room.
After the purchase of a small fan and the wiring equipments for the installation, there was enough money left to buy two Sart (floor mat) for the students to sit on during their reading time.
There are a few tables and chairs in the reading room but not enough for an entire class of students. It’s also nice for the students to sit around sharing their stories in a traditional Lao style.
