Making Ping Ped (Grilled Duck) for lunch in Luang Prabang, Laos. Garlic, lemongrass, chili pepper, Galangal, salt, MSG and a little bit of sugar were used for seasonings.
Ping Ped is good with spicy dipping sauce or spicy salad like Tam Mak Hoong (Lao Green Papaya Salad), Tam Mak Taeng (Lao Cucumber Salad), or Tam Mak Thua (Lao String Bean Salad). Plenty of steamed sticky rice and side vegetables to complete the meal.
Many of my male relatives are fond of Grilled Duck as snack with their BeerLao when they get together on the weekend.
