Delosperma is a genus of about 100 species within the Aizoaceae family. They are native to southern and eastern Africa and commonly known as the Ice Plant or Ice Flower.
Delosperma are ground cover perennials that form bright and sturdy daisy like flowers. The plants usually appear in the spring and occasionally in the summer. Ice Plants are ideal to be placed in a rock garden, in pots, or as excellent ground cover under taller plants and shrubs.
Flowering time for Ice Plant is from May to September and the plant prefers to be in the sun to partial shade.
