Wattay International Airport (Vientiane Airport) is situated in Sikhodtabong District, around 7 km to the west of central Vientiane. The airport comprises three passenger terminals: two for domestic flights and one for international flights. Notable airlines operating from the international terminal include Thai Airways International, Air Asia, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, and Vietnam Airlines.
The airport process involves checking in for your flight, proceeding to a security checkpoint at the departure halls’ entrance, passing through passport control, and entering a comfortable lounge. Inside the lounge, an information booth is available to guide you to various facilities, including cafes, shops, and restrooms.
