After the trip to the Brandenburg Gate it was time to head back to the hotel to pick up the suitcases and catch the TXL bus to the airport. Everything went smoothly from having to wait only three minutes for the U and then walking to the bus stop and in less than a minute the bus was there and we were off to the airport. I was so tired and was falling asleep on the bus and when I opened my eyes we were pulling up to the main gate and I saw a flock of birds flew out from the darkest. There were so many of them and I thought I was dreaming at first and when I knew I was awake I was thinking about the movie “The Crow“.
The flight to Amsterdam was the last flight of the night at 21:45 hour and it was quiet at the airport when we had our dinner at the Red Baron Restaurant. It was not too bad for an airport restaurant and the Caesar salad was quite delicious. I saw a Starbucks within a few meters from this restaurant but since I got sick from eating too much chocolate truffle cake the other day, I was not ready to go hear another Starbucks so soon.
After dinner it was time to check in and prayed for a safe flight home. We sat in the plane and watched the ground crew de-icing the wings before take off. I fell asleep and before I knew it we were landing at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. That’s all folks for now, until another adventure in a warmer place.
