Tum Mak Houng, Khua Mie, and Som Moo

Tum Mak Houng (Lao Green Papaya Salad), Khua Mie (Fried Rice Stick Noodles), and Som Moo (Soured Pork Sausage) for lunch in Vientiane, Laos. I have a couple of days left in Vientiane before flying back to Amsterdam and Aunt Phone wanted me to eat my favorite salad, which is no other than Tum Mak Houng. She also made the Fried Noodles for me and sent my cousin Khek to Gok Pho Market for one dozen Soured Pork Sausage.

Aunt Phone puts a little bit of shrimp paste and crab paste in the Tum Mak Houng and used cooked Padek (fermented fish sauce) for me. Her papaya salad was delicious and a good combination with Fried Noodles and Soured Pork Sausage.
