Lao Green Papaya Salad (Tam Som; ຕໍາສົ້ມ, Tam Maak Hoong; ຕໍາໝາກຫຸ່ງ), Soured Pork (Som Moo; ສົ້ມໝູ), and pork rind Kiep Moo; ຂຽບຫມູ) to go with the salad for lunch.
Every once in a while I get lucky and able to find Som Moo at a grocery store in Chinatown here in Holland. The Soured Pork is imported from Paris, France.
While it’s a bit more expensive than buying the Som Moo in the USA, made by a company in Texas, it’s a welcoming sight and taste for me when I do have a craving for such thing.
