After some shopping at Talat Sao, we crossed the street to Talat Khua Din and entered an alley full of food stalls. It was crowded with people ordering Khao Poon, sweet drinks, and other delicious Lao Food dishes. Bay was a few meters behind us and busy negotiating the right price for her Sinh. I was busy taking photos without getting in the way of people buying food and drinks and asking Aunt Kian to buy Khao Poon and Nam Varn Lod Chong for the entire family.
We bought Khao Poon from the same family that has been selling here ever since I was a little kid. The mother is retired now but her daughter keeps on selling the family recipe. Her food stall is always crowded but I don’t mind waiting, especially when I can take my time making photos of food and drinks.
