The Netherlands begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 AM on the last Sunday in March. This morning I woke up to my computer with the time shifted forward by 1 hour automatically and the rest of the clocks being an hour behind. I went to bed early since I was so tired and didn’t change my alarm clock to an hour ahead like I normally do at midnight and slept in late to get a little bit of extra rest. Now that we have “spring forward” I know when to call home (7 hours behind) and to call Laos (5 hours ahead) at the right time.
Now that spring is officially here, it’s time to enjoy the mild weather and beautiful flowers before the summer gets here. I have my allergy medication ready and will hit the tulip fields in a couple of weeks, weather permits that is.
