Spicy Rice Vermicelli Salad (Tam Khao Poon; ຕໍາເຂົ້າປຸ້ນ) and Pickled Fish (Som Pa; ສົ້ມປາ), served with Water Spinach or Water Morning Glory (Phak Bong; ຜັກບົ້ງ), White Leadtree pods (Phak Katin) for lunch in Vientiane, Laos.
The Pickled or Soured Fish was served raw rather than cooked. I prefer to have the pickled fish fried in light oil or grilled in bamboo leaf.
