Homemade Miang Muang Luang ໝ້ຽງເມືອງຫລວງ for dinner in Vientiane, Laos. My aunt made this Luang Prabang dish using a recipe from another aunt in Pakse. One of the important ingredient is using tomato in the ground rice paste.
Miang Muang Luang can be describe as veggie wrap using your choice of vegetable from lettuce, cabbage, or Piper sarmentosum (phak i leut or pak eelerd ຜັກອີ່ເລີດ) with savory ground sticky rice paste made from ground fried puffed rice or (sticky rice cracke).
The wrap is then top with fresh lemongrass, round green eggplant, ginger, tomato, roasted peanuts, and dried roasted chili peppers.
