Making Koy Pa Nam Khong ກ້ອຍປານໍ້າຂອງ (Mekong Fish Salad) and Kaeng Pa ແກງປາ (Fish Soup) for lunch in Laos.
My relatives got a few freshly caught fishes from the Mekong River and decided to make Koy Pa and Kaeng Pa out of them. I don’t know the name fish in Lao or English. I heard my relatives said it is Pa Nung (fish without scales). It is a bit oily and good for making fish salad and soup.
