I have an aunt who loves to eat Rice Sticks Curry Soup (Mee Kati; ຫມີ່ກະທິ) more than Khao Poon (ເຂົ້າປຸ້ນ). She especially like to add roasted chopped peanuts, lime juice, and sugar to her Rice Sticks Curry Soup. You can pretty much guess what was for lunch today. Yes, it was no other than Mee Kati.
I’m fond of both Khao Poon Nam Phik and Mee Kati. When we make the soup stock for Khao Poon Nam Phik, we usually have Khao Poon Noodles and Rice Sticks noodles side by side. Each other the family members can pretty much design their own bowl of soup and have whatever he/she wants to eat.
