Slices of green mango (Mak Muang; ໝາກມ່ວງ) with Fermented Fish Dipping Sauce (Jeow Padek Wan; ແຈ່ວປາແດກຫວານ) for an afternoon snack in Vientiane, Laos. My aunt bought a few green mangoes a couple of days ago and everyone forgot to eat them. After a little inspection, the mangoes are still in good shape.
My cousin made Fermented Fish Dipping Sauce using chili pepper, shallot, sugar, ground roasted rice, and fermented fish sauce for green mango snack.
It was a good snack, especially after an afternoon. The sour taste of the mango can really wake up a person.
