When I visited Luang Prabang in February for only four days, I didn’t get a chance to walk around town and admiring the lily ponds. This time I made sure to have plenty of days to stroll around the World Heritage Town and take the time to smell the flowers along the way. I treated myself to lunch at Roots and Leaves Restaurant so I could enjoy my food while relaxing by the beautiful lily pond.
I ordered Miang Muang Luang, Tam Maak Hoong (Lao Green Papaya Salad) with Pork Rinds, and Sien Lod (Lao Beef Jerky) and steamed sticky rice for a full meal. I was very satisfied with the food and the service. I even made a reservation for a dinner with live Lao music and dance for the following night.
