There are plenty of restaurants at Kouang Si Waterfalls to keep visitors from going hungry. When I was at Kouang Si Waterfall earlier this year, I only bought a bottle of water and one coconut to drink its juice.
This time we arrived at the waterfalls around lunch time. Our tuk-tuk driver told me where I could get the best green papaya salad (Tam Maak Hoong; ຕໍາໝາກຫຸ່ງ) from one of the restaurants on the site.
We ordered a plate of Green Papaya Salad, grilled tilapia fish (Ping Pa Nin; ປີ້ງປານິນ), and steamed sticky rice (Khao Niao; ເຂົ້າໜຽວ) for lunch. The meal was delicious and I went walking along the waterfalls paths after lunch until almost sunset time.
