I was fortunate to be able to attend Luang Prabang Festival of Lights (Boun Lai Heu Fai Nam) in October of last year. The parade was beautiful to say the least. Being there and taking part in the festival again after so many years of not being able to do so since I left Laos was difficult to put into words.
If you have never been to Luang Prabang, then mark your calendar for October so you can be part of the festivity. Now, all I need to do is to be able to attend Boun Ok Phansa in Vientiane and in Savannakhet.
