I am fortunate enough to have access to fresh fish, well as fresh according to how long it takes to get here. The fish store I go to gets the supply every other day and I find their fish and seafood to be fresh enough. What to do with a piece of tuna filet? I like it on the grill with Teriyaki sauce like from Yamato Teppan Yaki Restaurant in Rotterdam.
Of course being a Lao person, I can’t help but to experiment making Lao Minced Salad (Laap Tuna) out of tuna. I’ve been making this dish a few times and so far I like it. After marinating the tuna in lime juice, I added all the herbs and spices that would normally go into a Laap dish and the final result is delicious.
