Since I found Mrs. Somechane’s noodle soup to be quite delicious, I went back to her restaurant for a bowl of Khao Soy. It’s Luang Prabang’s famous dish and I wanted to give it a try. You can find Mrs. Somechane’s Noodle Restaurant opposite of Vat Sene temple (Wat Sene), which is next door to Villa Senesouk Hotel.

It was a bit spicy for me and Mrs. Somechane said it must have been a batch of peppers with a bit more kick for that day. Normally it’s not that spicy the way she made it so a customer can always add extra chili peppers to taste.

The first two photos I used “vivid color” setting on the camera to test its feature but didn’t like how the photos turned out.

It was quite delicious and I can’t wait to get back to Luang Prabang again for another bowl of Mrs. Somechane’s pho and khao soy.
