Khai Paen (crispy river weed) and Jeow Bong (sweet and spicy Lao chili paste) for breakfast in Vientiane, Laos.
My uncle went to Luang Prabang for a medical mission in the remote villages outside of the town. He came back to Vientiane with various Luang Prabang dishes. We decided to have a simple breakfast with crispy fried Khai Paen and Jeow Bong with freshly steamed sticky rice. It was a simple but quite delicious breakfast.
