Checking out Kanom Kok ( ເຂົ້າໜົມຄົກ ) stand next to Khao Piak Restaurant in Pakse, Laos while waiting for my Khao Piak order. I was interested in the fillings of the Kanom Kok. The lady making the Kanom Kok was using minced pork and bean sprout fillings, served with spicy dipping sauce ( Nam Jeem ).
Aunt Phone bought a few pieces of Kanom Kok home but it was too greasy and spicy for me to try. I was not feeling well and could only eat a few spoons Khao Piak Khao. My main dinner was nothing more than young coconut juice.
