Khao Jie (Khao Chi) for breakfast in Vientiane, Laos. I bought the grilled sticky rice from a street food vendor by Wattay Yai Temple for the Morning Alms Offering Ceremony and saved a couple of them for breakfast.
It was a simple and delicious breakfast. The lady who was selling the Khao Jie used a little bit of chili pepper in the egg batter for extra taste. I can smell little of Padek (fermented fish sauce) on top of the egg and rice as well.
