Buying grilled banana (Kuay Chi) and grilled sticky rice patty (Khao Chi; Khao Jie) at the Boat Pier in Ban Keun, Laos for an afternoon snack.
The bananas are from the local area. We brought many kilos of the fresh cut ripe banana to take back to Vientiane with us.
The sticky rice patties are covered with egg batter, some seasoning with Padek (fermented fish sauce) to give the extra aroma and taste.
