Things have changed a great deal in Laos in the last ten years or so. Back in the late 90s when my family made a visit to a temple to pay respect to the deceased relatives, we would pick flowers from our garden to take with us. It’s not the case anymore in the past few years. Now we just drive to a floral shop and buy what we need. The flowers that are being grow in the family garden is for decoration only and not the usual type of flowers that we used to have for religious events.
