Sabaidee and Happy Lao New Year to all of you! I’ve been away for the past three weeks in Laos, mostly in Luang Prabang. I have always wanted to visit Luang Prabang during the Lao New Year or Boun Pi Mai Lao and my dream came true this year. For the past several years, I’ve been flying to Vientiane as a starting point and then would either take a bus or a plane to another destination in Laos.
But this year I flew from Amsterdam to Bangkok with KLM Airline and then from Bangkok to Luang Prabang with Bangkok Air. I wanted to fly with Lao Airlines and be on the new Airbus but my plane from Amsterdam was landing at 9:30 AM and the flight to Luang Prabang was around 10:00 AM.
It was a smooth flight with Bangkok Air and they served a nice lunch on board but I only picked out the shrimps in the fried noodles since I was not hungry and took a couple of bites of the dessert.
