I took a direct flight from Amsterdam Schiphol to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport for a connecting flight to Vientiane Wattay Airport. My flight was in the evening with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines which took only 8 hours and 20 minutes from Amsterdam to Bangkok. This is the better option than last year when I took Lufthansa Airlines and had to make two stops, first in Frankfurt, Germany and second at Bangkok, Thailand for a connecting flight to Vientiane, Laos.
I had almost 8 hours to spare at Suvarnabhumi Airport and I spent most of it walking around. As soon as I got there I checked for my gate and went walking around from one end of the terminal to the next. I kept walking and taking pictures for about five hours and went looking for places to eat. I decided to have sushi for dinner. It was 450 Baht and 50 Baht for a bottle of water. After dinner I went walking some more and then went to terminal D for a short flight to Vientiane.
