A bowl of Corn and Tapioca Pearl in Coconut Milk (Nam Varn Maak Sali and Sakoo) for dessert after dinner in Vientiane, Laos.
We bought the Nam Varn from Talat Kok Pho (Kok Pho Market).
It’s a simple dessert, made with sweet corn grown in Vientiane Province, tapioca pearls, freshly squeezed creamy coconut milk, and palm sugar with a little bit of salt to bring out the sweet taste.
It’s quite refreshing with a little bit of crushed ice after eating spicy Lao Food dishes.
