Buying Miang for dinner at the Evening Market in Luang Prabang, Laos. I bought a few pieces of Luang Prabang Miang (Miang Muang Luang; ໝ້ຽງເມືອງຫລວງ) and Mee Koy Phan (ຫມີ່ກ້ວຍພັນ) and one serving of fried noodles or Khua Mie to try out.
The two sisters also sell Fried Rice Vermicelli Noodle but I was not sure of how it would taste so I didn’t buy one to take home.
I am fond of Mee Koy Phan (Mashed eggplant roll). My relatives in Vientiane refer to it as Miang Mak Kheu (Miang Eggplant). Whatever the name is, the dish is quite delicious using various leaves for wrapping.
It’s not as heavy as Miang Muang Luang and goes well with Rice Vermicelli Noodle.
