Lao Bamboo Shoot and Yanang Soup (Keng No Mai Sai Yanang ແກງຫນໍ່ໄມ້ໃສ່ຢານາງ) for dinner in Vientiane, Laos.
We bought all the ingredients for the soup from a fresh market in the outer skirt of the capital city. My aunt made the bamboo shoot soup, spicy fermented fish dip (Jeow Padaek ແຈ່ວປາແດກ), and steamed some vegetables to go with the main dish.
It was a simple traditional Lao food dishes for dinner, served with freshly steamed sticky rice for the entire family to enjoy.
