Almsgiving at That Luang Festival

The Morning Almsgiving at That Luang Festival 2010 drew a larger crowd than in 2008. Just like the Morning Almsgiving in 2008, there were lines stretching all the way to the four ways intersections at Ban Nong Bone. For hose people that came later to the Morning Almsgiving Ceremony, they were still able their offering to the monks.

Despite more people, the morning went quite smooth based on my observation. It was well organized and after the event was over, the That Luang ground was a whole lot cleaner than what I’ve seen in 2008.
