I was very happy to have found the beautiful blooming late tulips along the walking path of Noorderhaven. They are called “Late Blooming Tulips” because they will bloom in the late spring and are also refered to as Cottage Tulips.

I was happy to see the clematis blooming away a couple of weeks ago. Last year they were small and came too early in April and died out fast. But this year the clematis plant was on schedule as usual with stunning flowers in early May.

I was introduced to Bleeding Heart Flower last year. In Dutch it is known as Gebroken hartje, literally translates into English as “broken heart”. The flower was in full bloom last week and a welcoming sight to add to a vase in the living room.

What I captured during my walk on Earth Day 2010. I could never get enough of these beauties and looking forward to seeing them again next year.
Beautiful flowers on Earth Day 2010. These spring blossoms came a bit late due to longer winter that we had over here.
The weather was not that warm on Easter Sunday with a bit of shower on and off. But by 19:00 hour the sun was bright and shinny as it was setting in for the night. I went for an hour walk before dinner and took photos along the way.
Another set of photos that I took along the walking path by the canal on March 18, 2010. The best part of that day was running into gigantic but extremely friendly dogs. I wouldn’t mind having them as pets.
At the other side of the park I saw something alive and thriving. The crocus are just making themselves visible. It’s a bit late for them to come up this year comparing to last year but spring couldn’t come any later. I can’t wait to see what they look like tomorrow.
I had my usual salmon sandwich and green lemon tea for lunch last Tuesday (April 07, 2009) and then went for a walk at a park afterward. It is a great way to digest the food and also to get used to my recently bought Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28. I had the camera since February and still trying to get comfortable with it. It was such a nice day to stroll around and take lots of pictures of beautiful cherry blossom in full bloom. I was too busy last year and missed the blooming cheery trees around this time of the year.

After a short visit with the animals at the dierentuin I stumbled upon bundles of beauties on the other side of the park. It was a beautiful sight to see and I didn’t even know how I want my photos to look like so I took plenty of them and sorted out the ones I wanted to post later. No need for me to spoil the moment with too much words. See for yourself.
