The title has been changed from Miss Apone Lao to Miss Lao officially and we can expect future Miss Lao to be competing in Miss Universe Beauty Pageant. Miss Luang Prabang 2009 Beauty Pageant broadcast live on April 13, 2009. My aunts in Vientiane said it was beautifully done but the program was too long and they fell asleep not knowing who the winner was. Even Khek who was the last one to stay up all night watching the pageant fell asleep before the announcement of the winner.

For the last two months in Laos I have been following the news on Miss Apone Lao Beauty Pageant. A10 and A17 look like my cousins in Pakse. They all look beautiful to me. The winner must meet the ideal image of Miss Apone Lao with the full package of beauty plus brain.
