Sao Darly
After a short break at the water fountain, it was time to check out the garden area. This is usually the place that I often didn’t pay attention to since it was never much of anything to look at in April. But in May the spot is full of interesting plants and flowers. It was like finding a treasure when I noticed beautiful blooms that reminded me so much of Dok Koon. It was no other than the purple laburnum and what a beautiful sight to see.
Purple Tulips
Purple Laburnum which is a hybrid between common laburnum and Cytisus purpureus
I was so fond of the Gouden Regen (Laburnum) or Golden Rain Tree that I found on my way back from Hoek van Holland beach that I made a mission to look for more of them. I even found two trees next to one another with one having yellow flowers while the other having purple flowers. Sorry the photos of those two trees didn’t turn out real well. Maybe next time.
As we were leaving Hoek van Holland beach, I noticed quite a few yellow flowering trees along the streets around the green house area. These bright and beautiful flowers captured my attention and I thought they were Dok Koon. I made Johan turned around the car and we went looking for a few trees so I can take some photos. It was only 7:30 PM so there was plenty of light to take some decent photos. It was worth a stop.
