After dinner at Hoek van Holland Beach, it was time to witness a humble sunset at 22:05 hour. There was something about this sunset though that I found soothing to watch. It was a quiet and peaceful scene and I felt almost like I was the only one there witnessing another day turning into another night.
I was running in and out of the restaurant at Hoek van Holland Beach so I can catch the cool breeze and the salty smell of the ocean. Let’s just day my dinner was getting cold after awhile, well only the French fries at least.
I was spending an evening at Hoek van Hollan Beach after the World Cup Football Match between Brazil and the Netherlands. It was such a warm day and people were packing the beaches all over the country. When the football madness was over they sky opened up and pour down on all of us. It was a welcoming cool down and a first experience for me to be raining down on at the beach.
I love the ocean, especially at night time. I don’t like the big crowd during the day and prefer to go to the beach when most people are gone. If they let me camp out under the stars on the beach then I would. I have to wait until I am rich and have my own beach front property to be able to do so. For now I make the best of what I got. On this special evening, there is something in the sky, take a look at tell me what you see.

Not often I get a chance to see this type of sunset at the beach. This time I was not giving myself an excuse to not take the time to make some photos. It was not as beautiful as the one I saw a few weeks earlier in the city but it was still a sight to see at 10:15 PM.
It was a good idea to go for a walk after a heavy dinner at Restaurant Nautiquie. There were plenty of people hanging out at the beach being Friday night and all. There is a club there that is a favorite spot for many young people to just chill out late into the night.
Additional video clips from my sunset walk at Hoek van Holland Beach. The water was nice and warm at 22:34 hour and I didn’t want to head home.
A stroll along the canal is nice but walking bare feet at the beach is even better, especially near sunset time. These photos and clips were taken on June 23, 2009 at Hoek van Holland beach.
After a family gathering for mother’s day, Johan took me to Hoek van Holland beach to see the sunset. It was a bit windy but a perfect weather for Johan’s favorite sport, windsurfing. I have been to this beach many times and even been in the water, trying to float for a few minutes. I can only imagine the thrill and freedom of windsurfing and if I want to attempt such activity then I first must be a strong swimmer and must love the water enough to keep on going after a few gulps of water.
