When it doesn’t rain, then it’s a good day in NL. There are plenty of colorful things to keep me distracted along the canal when I go for a walk.

There were a few water lilies floating in the canal along my walking path toward the end of summer. I’ll have to look for them again next year. For now I can only enjoy the photos that I took of them earlier this year.

My favorite biking path to take a walk alone and to take pictures along the way. It’s nice to just stand there on the tiny bridge over the canal and watch the ducks pass by. Simple pleasure in life that doesn’t cost anything.

A few clips from my summer walk during the month of August. Summer came and went by quick and now I can only look forward to spring. This year is going by too quickly.

Biking is another activity that I enjoy and when the weather is nice then it’s time to clean the bicycle and head out for some sightseeing and a light workout. It’s nice since I can cover a greater distance than just walking. I was still on my one week vacation on June 25, 2009 so I made the best of the day and earned a few km on a short route. There were some real bikers on training that day with their coach on a moped and he was pushing them to the limit.

When the weather is nice (no rain) I like to make the best of life and enjoy simple little things like taking a walk along the canal. An hour walk or two after a dinner is a good exercise and a photo op. The following video clips and photos were taken on June 22, 2009.
