Here is Sabaidee Luang Prabang movie that many of us have been waiting for. I saw parts of this movie about a week ago but didn’t finish watching it since I was not feeling well. It is quite a good movie and I can’t wait to have a DVD version of the movie. It would be great to see this movie with my relatives in Laos. They have not seen it yet and I hope it is still playing across the country so I can treat them to a night of dinner and movie.

Before Alexandra Bounxouei, the half Lao and half Bulgarian became a household name in Thailand due to her acting in Pleng Ruk Rim Fang Khong Thai drama, there was a well known half Lao and half Australian star by the name of Ananda Everingham, who was making a name for himself in Thailand.

Who is this Ananda Everingham? According to Wikepidia:

Ananda Everingham (born May 31, 1982 in Thailand) is a Lao Australian film actor and model. Working primarily in Thai films, he is best known for his lead role in the 2004 horror film, Shutter.

Ananda Matthew Everingham is the son of an Australian father, Bangkok-based photojournalist John Everingham, and a Laotian mother, Keo Sirisomphone. His parents’ story was loosely dramatized in the 1983 NBC television movie, Love Is Forever, starring Michael Landon and Laura Gemser, which tells of a photojournalist who scuba dives under the Mekong to rescue his lover from communist ruled Laos in 1977. His parents divorced in 1997. John re-married a Chinese woman. Ananda has one brother, Chester Jay Everingham and one half-brother, Zenith Lee Everingham.

On the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), Ananda Everingham has an impressive list of works under his credit. I’ll try to find some of his works to share with you.
