Sua Ped (Sua Duck) for dinner in Vientiane, Laos. I have never eaten this before so it was quite a treat. I have eaten Sua Kai (Sua Chicken) a few times in my life, which was a Vientiane version.
My Aunt who is from Pakse made the Sua Duck the way it is made in Pakse. She sprinkled a little bit of ground roasted sticky and ground roasted chili pepper to the dish for finishing touches. The dish went nicely with steamed sticky rice, steamed Jasmine rice, and Jeow Maak Len (spicy tomato chutney).
