String Bean Salad with Hog Plum

Making String Bean Salad (Tam Maak Thua) for dinner in Vientiane, Laos. My Aunt added Maak Kork (Hog Plum) in the salad, which is a version I have never seen or tasted before. We picked the string beans that were organically grown at a relative’s garden in Ban Ling San, along with tomatoes, and chili peppers for the salad.

It was a delicious salad to go with freshly steamed sticky rice and grilled chicken parts like heart, lung, and other pieces that I am not used to eating.
