After checking out the snow at the park I headed toward the canal for more daring walk. It was a bit scary when I fell because of the sloped road. My legs were stuck with snow when I moved to the side of the to avoid an incoming van. I was trying to get up to the road and fell forward and used my right hand to catch my fall.
I was happy to see my old friends (the coots and the ducks) as they went searching for food and water. They were made for this type of weather more than me for sure. After more than two hours of walking I was ready for a hot cup of chocolate and then went outside to shovel the snow on the terrace of the apartment.

Even with all the snow on the ground the temperature was warm enough and I didn’t even need to wear my gloves outside. Snowy day is a good day for kids and teenagers. Many were making a snowman, riding in a sledge or using ski to get around. It was a winter wonderland in the Netherlands on that day.

I woke up on December 20, 2009 and found the ground covered with plenty of snow. It was actually the second time in a month that we had snow fall. The first time was a few days earlier but with not much damages. As the news had it we were getting snow storm across Europe and with prospect of having a white Christmas.
I haven’t seen this much snow in years and was anxious to explore the neighborhood. By 15:00 hour I went outside to check on the temperature. It was not that cold so I decided to go for a long walk just for the heck of it.

It’s late at night and I’m still organizing my backup media files. I have three external disks and want to have all the files nice and neat before 2010. To stay awake this late at night I do my best by cranking up some good music on the radio.
