Lao Spicy Cucumber Salad

Lao Spicy Cucumber Salad and Edible Chrysanthemum

During my two months in Laos, I ate various fruits and vegetables, some that I don’t even know what they are called in English. Pak Thang-O or Edible Chrysanthemum is one vegetable that I’ve seen on the table. Edible Chrysanthemum is often served with noodle soup or Pho and given generous portion for Laotian Fondue. When my aunt put Edible Chrysanthemum or Pak Thang-O next to plate of Lao Spicy Cucumber Salad or Tum Maak Tdeng, I was not sure if Edible Chrysanthemum is compatible with Lao Spicy Cucumber Salad.

Since I was still battling respiratory infection, I can’t recall the taste of Edible Chrysanthemum with Lao Spicy Cucumber Salad well. I will have to do a test taste in the near future when I fully have my taste buds 100% functional and ready to battle.
