Lao Green Papaya Salad (Tam Maak Hoong) with boiled Pork Blood Cubes for lunch in Vientiane, Laos. We went to visit a papaya salad farm in Ban Ling San and picked a few papayas right of the tree. Some of the papayas were green while others were a bit ripe and fully ripe.
My Aunt Phone decided to make Tam Maak Hoong (Lao Green Papaya Salad) for lunch using a bit ripe papaya. My cousin Khen went to the market to buy some pork blood cubes for my aunt to boil with a little bit salt in the water. It was a nice lunch served with Khao Poon noodle, Phak Bong (water spinach), and Phak Katin (pods of Leucaena leucocephala or white leadtree).
